Anti-Social Behaviour

Inverclyde Council have contacted the association in regard to some of the recent anti-social behaviour occurring within the top part of the estate.

The association would urge the youth of the area to refrain from such behaviour and work with the association and the local community to make Gibshill a better place to live.

The association are currently looking for ideas and solutions to the lack of facilities for the local youth and would urge the kids and teenagers to form representation to the association and present ideas for future development of play areas, youth shelters etc.

It is important that the younger residents become involved in this process otherwise the older residents will have to make decisions regarding these facilities.

The association consider that decision -making concerning the local Youth should be made in conjunction with the Youth and ask that they co-operate and become involved in this process.

New build Housing Project

Persimmons Builders have advised the association that the delays in starting the final phase of New House Building is being caused by problems with the closure of roads (Whiteleas Road) within the proposed building area.

The association will continue to progress this with the builders and will inform local residents whenever a successful conclusion has been reached.
